RPE Percentage Chart
Convert any RPE and rep interaction into a percentage of your 1-rep max (1RM)
How RPE Relates to Percentage Training
Percentage-based training and RPE (Rate of Perceived Exertion) are two sides of the same coin. While a percentage-based program tells you to lift 80% of your max, an RPE program tells you to lift at a weight that feels like an 8 out of 10 difficulty. Our calculator bridges this gap by showing you exactly what percentage each RPE value represents on a standard chart.
Standard RPE to Percentage Table
Most modern strength programs use a table that maps RPE and reps to a specific percentage. For example, 1 rep at RPE 10 is 100%, while 1 rep at RPE 8 is roughly 92%. Our dynamic chart allows you to toggle between absolute weight and these percentage values.
- Dynamic Effort: Training at 60-70% for explosive power.
- Max Effort: Training at 90%+ for strength expression.
- Volume Blocks: Usually ranging between 70% and 85% at Moderate RPE levels.
